Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest or explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Fly to Pokhara (822 m)

Take a short scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, enjoying views of the hills and Himalayan ranges. After arriving in Pokhara, spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the lakeside area. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 03: Fly to Jomsom (2,720 m) – Trek to Kagbeni (2,810 m)

Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom, the main gateway to Mustang. From Jomsom, begin your trek along the Kali Gandaki Valley toward Kagbeni. The trail passes dry landscapes and traditional settlements before reaching this historic village, known as the entrance to Upper Mustang. Overnight in Kagbeni.

Day 04: Trek to Chhusang (2,980 m) via Tangbe

Continue north along the Kali Gandaki Valley toward Chhusang. Walk through Tangbe, a traditional Mustang village characterized by whitewashed houses, narrow alleys, and barley fields. The trail follows dramatic cliffs and arid mountain scenery before reaching Chhusang. Overnight in Chhusang.

Day 05: Trek to Samar (3,660 m)

Today's trail climbs gradually toward Samar, passing through the striking landscapes of the Kali Gandaki region. Along the way, enjoy views of Nilgiri and the surrounding Mustang mountains. Samar is a peaceful village surrounded by barren hills and traditional Tibetan-style homes. Overnight in Samar.

Day 06: Trek to Ghiling (3,570 m) via Chungsi Cave

Trek through the dry valleys of Upper Mustang toward Ghiling. The route includes a visit to Chungsi Cave, a sacred meditation cave associated with Guru Rinpoche. Continue through rugged terrain and ancient settlements before arriving at Ghiling, a village known for its monasteries and traditional architecture. Overnight in Ghiling.

Day 07: Trek to Dhakmar (3,820 m) via Ghami and Mui La Pass

Today is one of the more scenic sections of the trek. Walk toward Ghami, one of the largest villages in Upper Mustang, and continue toward the Mui La Pass. From the higher trail, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding barren mountains before descending toward the striking red cliffs and village of Dhakmar. Overnight in Dhakmar.

Day 08: Trek to Lo Manthang (3,840 m) via Ghar Gompa

Continue toward the legendary walled city of Lo Manthang. Along the way, visit Ghar Gompa, one of Mustang's oldest monasteries, featuring ancient Buddhist art and religious sites. The trail then crosses the high desert landscape before reaching Lo Manthang, the cultural and historical center of Upper Mustang. Overnight in Lo Manthang.

Day 09: Explore Hidden Valleys of Lo Manthang

Spend a full day exploring the hidden valleys and cultural treasures around Lo Manthang. Visit ancient monasteries, traditional villages, caves, and historic settlements while learning about the unique Tibetan Buddhist culture of Mustang. The day allows you to explore at a relaxed pace and experience life around the ancient walled city. Overnight in Lo Manthang.

Day 10: Trek to Yara (3,650 m) via Dhi Village

Leave Lo Manthang and trek toward the remote village of Yara. The trail passes through Dhi Village and follows dramatic cliffs, dry valleys, and the rugged terrain that makes Upper Mustang so distinctive. Yara is surrounded by impressive rock formations and ancient cliff caves. Overnight in Yara.

Day 11: Excursion to Luri Gompa and Tashi Kabum

Take a day excursion to Luri Gompa, one of the most important cave monasteries in Upper Mustang. Continue to Tashi Kabum, a sacred site featuring ancient Buddhist art and cave structures. Explore the surrounding landscape before returning to Yara for the night. Overnight in Yara.

Day 12: Trek to Tangge (3,370 m)

Today you enter one of the more remote parts of the Upper Mustang trekking route. The trail crosses barren valleys and rugged terrain before reaching Tangge, a traditional village surrounded by dramatic cliffs. Tangge is known for its distinctive whitewashed houses and historic Buddhist chortens. Overnight in Tangge.

Day 13: Trek to Tetang (3,040 m)

Continue from Tangge toward Tetang through a remote and challenging section of the Mustang landscape. The trail crosses dry riverbeds, rocky valleys, and high desert terrain before gradually descending toward Tetang. Surrounded by red and brown cliffs, Tetang is a beautiful traditional village near the lower Mustang region. Overnight in Tetang.

Day 14: Trek to Muktinath (3,760 m) – Drive to Jomsom

Trek from Tetang toward the sacred pilgrimage destination of Muktinath. Located at the foot of the Thorong La region, Muktinath is an important spiritual site for both Hindus and Buddhists. After exploring the temple area, drive down to Jomsom through the Kali Gandaki Valley. Overnight in Jomsom.

Day 15: Fly to Pokhara

Take a morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, enjoying spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Once in Pokhara, spend the day relaxing or exploring the Lakeside area. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 16: Fly to Kathmandu

Fly from Pokhara back to Kathmandu. After arriving, you can spend your remaining time shopping for souvenirs, exploring local markets, or relaxing at your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 17: Final Departure

Your Upper Mustang trekking adventure comes to an end today. Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport according to your international flight schedule for your onward journey.
