Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore Kathmandu's vibrant streets and nearby cultural sites. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive to Bandipur (1,030 m)

Begin your journey toward Bandipur, a beautiful hilltop town known for its traditional Newari architecture and mountain views. The scenic drive takes you through Nepal's green hills and winding mountain roads. Spend the afternoon exploring Bandipur and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Overnight in Bandipur.

Day 03: Drive to Marpha (2,670 m) via Pokhara and Tatopani

Continue toward Mustang, driving through Pokhara and the Kali Gandaki Valley. The route passes through Tatopani, famous for its natural hot springs, before reaching Marpha. Known for its whitewashed houses, stone-paved streets, and apple orchards, Marpha is one of the most charming villages in the Mustang region. Overnight in Marpha.

Day 04: Drive to Dhakmar (3,820 m) via Chungsi (Guru Rinpoche) Cave

Enter the restricted Upper Mustang region and follow the rugged mountain road toward Dhakmar. Stop at Chungsi Cave, a sacred meditation site associated with Guru Rinpoche, before continuing through the dramatic landscapes of Upper Mustang. The road passes barren cliffs, deep valleys, and traditional Tibetan-style villages before reaching Dhakmar. Overnight in Dhakmar.

Day 05: Drive to Lo Manthang (3,840 m) via Lo Gekar (Ghar Gompa)

Continue toward Lo Manthang, the historic walled city and cultural heart of Upper Mustang. En route, visit Lo Gekar, home to the famous Ghar Gompa, one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the region. Continue across the high-altitude desert landscape to Lo Manthang. Overnight in Lo Manthang.

Day 06: Explore Lo Manthang Valley

Spend the day discovering the cultural and historical treasures of Lo Manthang. Explore the ancient walled city, traditional homes, monasteries, royal palace, and surrounding settlements. The day offers a closer look at the Tibetan Buddhist traditions, architecture, and daily life that make Upper Mustang unique. Overnight in Lo Manthang.

Day 07: Choser Valley & Khoncholing Cave Excursion

Take a scenic excursion into Choser Valley, an area famous for its ancient caves and cliffside settlements. Explore Khoncholing Cave and other historic cave structures carved into the surrounding cliffs. The excursion provides an opportunity to experience the mysterious history and unique landscapes of Upper Mustang. Return to Lo Manthang for the night.

Day 08: Drive to Yara (3,650 m)

Leave Lo Manthang and drive toward the remote village of Yara. The route crosses rugged valleys, barren cliffs, and dramatic Himalayan terrain. Yara is surrounded by ancient caves and unusual rock formations, offering a glimpse into the remote lifestyle and history of Mustang. Overnight in Yara.

Day 09: Visit Luri Gompa & Tashi Kabum – Drive to Muktinath

Start the day with an excursion to Luri Gompa, one of the most remarkable cave monasteries in Upper Mustang. Continue to Tashi Kabum, another important Buddhist site known for its ancient cave structures and artwork. After the excursion, drive toward Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Overnight in Muktinath.

Day 10: Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive from Muktinath to Pokhara. Follow the Kali Gandaki Valley through Jomsom and lower Mustang, with changing landscapes from the dry Himalayan terrain to greener mountain valleys. Arrive in Pokhara and enjoy the evening around the peaceful Lakeside area. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu – International Departure

Drive back to Kathmandu through Nepal's scenic hill roads. Depending on your international flight schedule, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. Your Upper Mustang Jeep Tour ends with unforgettable memories of ancient monasteries, hidden caves, dramatic landscapes, and the unique culture of Mustang.
